Opti Race Team – Ages 8-15
Our Opti Race Team is the perfect program for young sailors looking to build their racing skills and compete in local and regional regattas. This program provides a strong foundation in boat handling, tactics, and race strategy while fostering a love for competitive sailing in a fun and supportive environment. Sailors will have the opportunity to race against other young sailors in the Northwest Youth Racing Circuit (NWYRC) and beyond.
Team Structure
Sailors are placed into one of two fleets based on their experience and skill level:
Green Fleet (Beginner-Intermediate): For sailors ages 8-13 who are ready to learn the rules and tactics of sailboat racing. This fleet focuses on building confidence, boat handling, and basic racing skills.
Gold Fleet (Advanced): For sailors ages 10-15 with prior racing experience. Gold Fleet sailors refine advanced tactics, strategy, and boat speed while competing at a higher level.

Gold Fleet: $495
Green Fleet: $495
Fall Practice Schedule
Fall practices start the week of September 8th and end the week of October 30th.
All practices run from 4:30 PM - 7:00 PM. (Practice end times change as the season goes on due to the sun setting earlier.)

Regattas & Competition
The Opti Race Team competes in events throughout the Pacific Northwest as part of the Northwest Youth Racing Circuit (NWYRC). These regattas provide a fun and competitive environment for sailors to test their skills, gain valuable racing experience, and build friendships within the sailing community.
